Here we present a list of auspicious days to celebrate, some magical, some not so magical, some just as an excuse to have something to celebrate.

We have listed the major magical festivals such as the equinoxes and solstices along with the four pagan festivals. We have also listed a few saint's days where they relate to drinking or general celebration. We thought long and hard about whether to include Christian festivals but the 133rd Grand Master came to the conclusion that many pagan festivals have been hijacked by Christianity down through the centuries so he thought it was high time we hijacked some of them back.

Naturally, to begin with, many dates on our calendar will be blank so we invite you to contact us with suggestions of dates to celebrate and recommended drinks to go with them.

Note:
Throughout the Magical Drinking Year you will see drinks recommended for each entry, however, feel free to drink something else if you feel so inclined. On many days you will also see the abbreviation TWYFT, this is shorhand for Toast With Your Favourite Tipple.

The traditional toast is:

Call: "All hail Bacchus"
Response: "Hail Bacchus"
